Urban Effects supports active travel for Wellington students

Students at St Anthony’s School in Seatoun were recently awarded a bike rack from Urban Effects for their energetic efforts and travel habits as part of the Greater Wellington Regional Council’s Movin’ March initiative.

The school won the WOW Passport Competition which was used to promote safe and active travel to school during the month of March. It also aspires to address congestion and safety issues around the school gate.

Every student who walked or wheeled to school had a special passport stamped on arrival.

St Anthony’s saw off competition from 60 schools in the Greater Wellington region by amassing the highest percentage per capita of passports completed.

When Urban Effects were asked if we’d like to support the campaign we were delighted to be able to donate a new bike rack from our innovative range to help keep Wellington’s children moving like we do in so many other schools across New Zealand.
