Stately style on the streets of Cuneo

When it comes to freshening up the streets of an Italian city that’s centuries old, the furniture must fit the spirit of its surroundings.

Cuneo, in Italy’s north, offers amazing alpine views and brings with it all the rustic charm you would expect of Italy: villas, castles, squares, arches and Gothic architecture.

As a local company, Italian based Metalco won the chance to revitalise the streets of Cueno with their products that walk the line between old world charm and modern functionality.

Bollards, bike racks, street place signs, information displays, planters, benches and litter bins were installed, bringing a touch of unobtrusive industrial style to the streets.

The Metalco team worked very closely with stakeholders to customise their range to suit, ensuring installation was careful around delicate and significant sites. Corten colour was the final choice for all products – both for its strength and durability and lived-in natural rustic patina.

The team was dedicated to providing attentive service and stand out products, and in doing so helped respect the beautiful details of Cuneo, yet added incredible functionality for residents and visitors alike.
