Te Rohutu Whio School, Rolleston
Fresh, Practical, Simple
The growing community of Rolleston’s newest school, Te Rohutu Whio School, is built on the foundations of Aroha ki te tangata, aroha ki te whenua, aroha ki te reo – “love to the people, love to the land, love to the language”.
This deep respect for people and place is evident from the way the school and its grounds have been constructed right through to the curriculum and way of teaching, which seeks to encourage passion-based learning and nurture the wellbeing of each child.
Urban Effects was extremely proud to be a part of the creation of school grounds which support students to learn, eat and play together.
A selection of seating, benches and table settings from our range of New Zealand made furniture have been positioned throughout the school’s expansive outdoor areas. The table settings and seating solutions feature the natural look and feel of timber and the three must-have ingredients for every contemporary learning environment – versatility, comfort and practical durability.
In a collaboration between Urban Effects and our sister company on the South Island, Logic Street Scene, four complementary furniture products were manufactured and installed at the school. Long, strong and sturdy
