Tauranga Crossing

Tauranga Crossing is the Bay of Plenty’s newest regional shopping centre, dedicated to serving its community and those who pass through it. A benchmark in local design, Tauranga Crossing has been created with the region’s celebrated climate and lifestyle in mind, with a true emphasis on making the most of the outdoors and all it has to offer.

A visionary project, the centre is contemporary and sophisticated, yet very natural – combining the open air appeal and sense of community that comes with an outdoor meeting place with the comfort, amenity and style of a fully enclosed shopping centre. Urban Effects was proud to work with the project’s architect and main contractor to provide outdoor facilities to match. Our Corten Steel-finished ‘Spencer’ bins and ‘Word’ bollards are streamlined and incredibly functional, with a weathered appearance that’s perfect for Tauranga Crossing. In fact, the bollards are a statement piece in themselves, doubling as bike racks and looking more like mini-public art.

With only Stage 1 of Tauranga Crossing completed, no doubt the best is yet to come!
