Foxton River Loop Reserve

Situated at the historic site of Foxton’s old port on the Manawatu River, Horowhenua District Council’s extensive rejuvenation of the River Loop Reserve has resulted in a wonderful community recreational haven.

As well as the addition of equipment to the nautical-themed playground and extensive tree planting, the upgrade included the installation of the stylish yet practical Kiwi Curved Shelter and several Woodlands Classic Table Setting and Colonial Tilt Timber Bins.

Made possible through a $3.86m Provincial Development Unit grant, the reserve is expected to become a hub for families, water sport enthusiasts and tourists.
