Maidstone Park in central Mount Hutt makes a statement to locals and visitors alike: live life to the max!

Upper Hutt City Council teamed up with Urban Effects to create a destination where everyone feels welcome to stay and enjoy time together in the great outdoors. Since its opening in May 2021, thousands of families from across the city and the surrounding region have descended on the park – proof of the project’s success.

Accessibility for children and adults of all ages and abilities was a major focus of the park’s design. This carried through to the selection of inclusive park equipment to the installation of Urban Effect’s wheelchair accessible Urban Contour Electric BBQs and Hydrate Drinking Fountains.
