Blockhouse Bay Intermediate School

Blockhouse Bay Intermediate School in Auckland provides an inclusive educational environment and fosters a school culture which focuses on respect, leadership, wellbeing and fun.

With these values in mind, the school had set an ambitious timeline for creating a new outdoor space for the start of the 2020 school year.

The covered area features a large expanse of timber decking, perfectly complemented by our Kiwi Classic Table Settings. A total of 28 table settings were supplied, providing seating for 120 students. The result is an attractive, spacious and thoughtfully furnished area where students can share mealtimes and breaks, and which contributes to a school community where teachers, staff and students have a strong sense of belonging and connection.

Made in New Zealand from locally sourced, sustainably grown treated pine with heavy duty galvanised frames, Urban Effects was able to quickly and easily meet the school’s timeframe for the completion of its project.

During the year, Urban Effects supplied the school with another eight Kiwi Classic Table Settings to increase the amount of seating available under the covered area.
